Have you heard of “No-Shave November”? Many of us simply know of this phrase as a challenge between friends, but it’s predicted that by 2030, this movement could reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%.
This past November, Trintech’s EMEA team joined forces with an organization that takes this trend to the next level.
Movember, started in 2003 by two friends from Melbourne, Australia, Travis Garone and Luke Slattery, challenges people all over the world to grow a moustache and become physically active for the thirty days of November in order to raise awareness and funds for men’s health. Movember brings together a community dedicated to raising money to make a difference in men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
Trintech kicked off their own movement in teams across the EMEA region by shaving their faces bare on the last day of October to start growing their moustaches throughout the month of November and participating in physical activity all month long.
This year, due to the impact of COVID-19, much of the fundraising for this amazing cause was done by sharing images and videos through social media and virtual team meetings. Our Trintech family shared their entertaining pictures and videos of their growing moustaches and physical activities throughout the entire month of November!
By the end of the month, over $2,300 was raised by the abundance of “Mo’s”!
Our Trintech family was proud to use their faces to help raise funds and awareness for men’s health.
